Peavey Predator AX:

This is the second guitar I bought and the one I'm using now. The first guitar I had was a red, rundown Epiphone that I was happy to get rid of.

The only really good point about the Predator is it's bridge humbucker and the dual combination of it's mid and neck pickups when used together. It's not the best, and it's neck isn't much to get excited about, but the clean humbucker tone suits me fine.

The one I've got is black as seen in the second picture.

Fender Acoustic:

Just a basic model Fender acoustic. Nothing remarkable about it, really. I just needed an acoustic and this one was up for grabs, so I grabbed.

Crate GX-120:

It's hard getting good amps in Riyadh, or any other gear for that matter. Dawliah bought a few Crate amps just to fill in the blanks I think. But it turned out well for me, because this amp has the cleanest unspoiled tone I've ever heard. That way, I can use any pedal on this amp with maximum tonal effect. It also has a pre-amp bypass that I use with my RP300

The only bad thing about it is the volume knob. This amp is loud, and I mean LOUD. I never dared to turn the knob beyond level 5. Anyway, the problem is that there's almost no smooth transition from levels 0 to 2. Which means either you get no sound, or a migraine.

DigiTech RP300:

Ahh ... the RP300. I never regretted buying this, or waiting for a whole month to get some guy in the US to bring it over with him. This multi effects pedal can do a whole lot that I like. Nearly everything in it is digital simulation, but it simulates them well. Even the Wah sounds great.

The RP uses amp simulation instead of distortion, kind of like the Line 6 POD. Personally I couldn't care less about how well it simulates a Mesa Boogie Mark II C amp with cabinet modeling. All I care about is having enough tonal variety to suit my needs. And that, is has.

This is what I use when I'm recording songs or just jamming at home. Why? Because it's all I've got!

Actually, I don't have a lot of complaints about it. It's not a bad setup, really, at least for my purposes.
